From November 5th, 2022 entry customs procedures for air cargo from 3rd countries and transited via EU airport, will be processed in Finland´s new customs electronic system UTU. On October 12, following successful completion of testing, Qstep is confirmed to be compliant for lodging TSD (Temporary Storage Declaration) and PN (Presentation Notification) to UTU.
“UTU is a new Finnish customs IT system launched in 2020 for bonded warehousing and import customs clearance. Now is the time for temporary storage, in coming years also export and transit processes will follow. For our customers change will be noticed, as we are going to move to notification service in direct messaging, which will improve processing times,” says co-founder of Qstep, Mr. Haiti Arendi.
Arriving cargo on flights directly from outside the EU will still be processed until ICS2 rollout in March 2023 in Finnish customs AREX system.
