As the air cargo industry observes more and more IATA ONE Record data sharing pilots demonstrating their operational prowess; and with airlines´ recent commitment to building ONE Record capability by January 2026, the age of new and multiple data communication standards in air cargo is closer than ever.
Since the launch of International Air Transport Association (IATA) ONE Record pilots, Qstep has had a unique opportunity to be an active member of one of the first pilots (DCF) to support the development of a new standard of a shipment´s single digital record view. That unique experience allowed Qstep to develop own in-house built ONE Record capability for ground handling operations in the air cargo supply chain.
As our ground handling agents (GHA) customers are already handling e-commerce goods and as these goods must be handled data-wise on parcel- and goods item level, we have redesigned our data structure to be compliant not only with EU regulations but also with IATA ONE Record standard.
The above-mentioned has put us in the right position to make the final push towards integration with IATA One Record and thus becoming operational on a new data-sharing standard.
