Every week Qstep is posting in LinkedIn some takeaways from yet another week of COVID-19 quarantine gone by.
Software systems which digitize not only communication and data exchange but allow the back-office staff to manage all business processes from home office/on remote are proving the market not only their supreme worth but also demonstrating better adaptability to force majeure circumstances like COVID-19 pandemics. Software legacy systems, on the other hand, still require back-office staff presence in the office, in the words of one experienced user: „to pass a few papers here and there”.
Modern software systems enable to perform all back-office work accomplished on remote while front office/warehouse staff operates loading data, say, on PDAs. This is what a paperless operation truly means, with management having constant full and real-time overview accessed via any device.
